How We Work: Our Five-Step Study Abroad Process

Our five-step process at a glance

Every student follows the same five steps, in the same order, whichever of our twelve destinations you choose:

• Free eligibility check: an honest read on where you can actually study, including when the answer is “not yet”.

• Country and university shortlist: 4–6 programmes you qualify for and can afford.

• Application and documents: we prepare, vet and submit everything.

• Visa and proof-of-funds preparation: we build a clean, credible visa file.

• Pre-departure: accommodation, travel, registration and your first weeks.

You pay us nothing unless you choose Premium Placement for the visa stage. Everything else is funded by the university you enrol at. What is free and what is paid is set out below, and the full breakdown sits on our pricing page.

How we work — the five steps in detail

Step 1 — Free eligibility check (1–2 days)

Start with the free eligibility check or a message on WhatsApp. Tell us your grades, your budget and where you would like to study. We read your profile against the entry rules of each destination and the visa rules that apply to your nationality, then answer plainly. Sometimes the answer is “not that country” or “not this intake”.

• What you get: a clear read on which of the twelve destinations you qualify for, and a realistic cost range for each.
• What it costs: nothing.
• Timeline: usually 1–2 working days.

Step 2 — Country and university shortlist (3–7 days)

We match you to 4–6 programmes you can get into and afford, not the ones that pay us the most. For each, you see the tuition, the living costs, the proof-of-funds requirement and an honest note on refusal odds for your country. We lead with affordable options, so most shortlists open with study in Germany or another of the cheapest countries in Europe to study rather than the UK.

• What you get: a shortlist with real costs and honest odds.
• What it costs: nothing.
• Timeline: about 3–7 days after your eligibility check.

Step 3 — Application and documents (2–6 weeks)

We prepare and submit your university applications, run the uni-assist credential check where Germany needs it, and check every document before it goes anywhere: transcripts, certificates, references and English-test results. If you have no IELTS, we look first at the alternatives universities accept. Weak documents are the most common cause of avoidable refusals, so this stage decides more than the shortlist does.

• What you get: completed applications, a credential check where required, and documents checked against each university’s exact rules.
• What it costs: nothing.
• Timeline: 2–6 weeks, depending on intake deadlines and how fast you send us your files.

Step 4 — Visa and proof-of-funds preparation (3–8 weeks)

When your offer arrives, we help you arrange proof of funds — the blocked account for Germany, maintenance funds for the UK, the tuition prepayment for Ireland — and build the visa file behind it. This is the stage where optional Premium Placement applies: the full file, interview coaching and relocation support.

• What you get: a proof-of-funds plan; with Premium Placement, a fully built visa file and interview preparation.
• What it costs: basic guidance is free; the full visa file is Premium Placement at €945–€2,100, quoted before you agree.
• Timeline: 3–8 weeks, set largely by embassy appointments and processing times, not by us.

Step 5 — Pre-departure (1–3 weeks)

Before you fly, we help with the practical work: accommodation, travel, opening a local bank account, registration on arrival, and what to expect in your first weeks.

• What you get: a pre-departure checklist and support up to enrolment.
• What it costs: included with Premium Placement; basic guidance is free.
• Timeline: the final 1–3 weeks before travel.

What’s free vs paid

This is the part most agencies leave vague, so we write it down.

Free, and funded by university commission: the eligibility check, the shortlist of 4–6 programmes, the applications, the uni-assist credential check, document vetting, and basic proof-of-funds guidance.

Paid, and only if you choose it: Premium Placement at €945–€2,100 covers the full visa file, interview coaching, relocation support and pre-departure support to enrolment. The price is quoted in writing before you commit.

How the free core is funded: when you enrol at a partner university, that university pays us 15–25% of your first-year tuition. It is a standard arrangement across the industry, the same model IDP and ApplyBoard use, and the difference is that we tell you about it. It also means we are paid only when you actually enrol and start, so we gain nothing by sending you somewhere you will be refused a visa.

You will never be charged a registration fee, a processing fee or a commission that appears later. An agent who asks for cash before any work is a warning sign; the others are on our how to spot a fake agent page.

How long the whole process takes

Most students move from first enquiry to a visa decision in about 2–4 months. The real clock is set by intake deadlines, embassy appointment waits and how quickly you send your documents, not by us. Start 6–9 months before your intended intake so you never rush a visa file or miss a deadline. If a timeline is not realistic, we will tell you at the eligibility stage rather than take the case and hope.

What we need from you

We can only move as fast as your documents. Have these ready before step one:

• Academic records: your WAEC, NECO or national school certificate, plus degree transcripts and certificates for postgraduate study.

• English evidence: IELTS, TOEFL or PTE results, or a Medium of Instruction letter if you studied in English.

• Identity: a valid international passport, or the receipt for the application.

• Funding: an honest picture of your budget, sponsor or scholarship plans, so we shortlist what you can actually pay for.

• Your goals: target course, destination and intended intake.

Clear scans and straight answers keep the case moving; missing or weak documents are the biggest source of delay.

How we vet your documents

Most refusals come from errors that could have been caught: a transcript that does not match the certificate, a bank statement that raises a question, a funding story that does not hold together. Before anything is submitted, we check every file against the rules of that specific university and that specific embassy: format, certification, translation, internal consistency and credibility.

Vetting is part of the free core, not an upsell. We will tell you when a document needs to be reissued, re-certified or translated, and we will not submit a file we would not defend ourselves.

Why we work this way

• Honesty is the product. We never claim a guaranteed visa or a 98% success rate. We quote the real odds for your country and explain what strengthens them.

• Our incentives match yours. Commission only pays out when you enrol and start the course, so we gain nothing from an application that fails at the embassy.
