Scholarship application help is an optional paid add-on: coaching on the written answers, document preparation, deadline mapping and mock interviews for one named award. Shortlisting the awards you qualify for stays free. A funded UK master's removes tuition of £9,000–30,000 per year and the £558 visa fee. We strengthen the file; the funder decides, and most applicants are refused.
What does scholarship application help include?
Finding funded awards is free: our core service shortlists the schemes that fit your degree, your work history and your passport. This add-on is separate and paid — hands-on work on one application for one named award, where the written answers decide it. It covers four things.
- Coaching on the written answers. Chevening asks about leadership, influence, networking and your study plan; Stipendium Hungaricum wants a motivation letter for each programme you pick. We work through drafts until each answer is specific and yours.
- Document preparation. Transcripts, certified translations, reference letters, a Europass CV for DAAD, the unconditional offer letter Chevening needs — each checked against the scheme’s own checklist before you submit.
- Deadline mapping. Most schemes run a single fixed window a year: Chevening closes in early October, Türkiye Scholarships in February, Stipendium Hungaricum in mid-January. We work backwards from the closing date.
- Mock interviews. Chevening shortlists in February 2027 and interviews between March and April 2027 at the British embassy in your own country. Türkiye Scholarships and Stipendium Hungaricum interview too.
We coach and check. You write your own answers — funders can spot a ghost-written application, and so can we.
Which scholarships do we help you apply for?
We work on the awards African applicants realistically win, and we say before you pay whether you are competitive.
- Chevening — the UK government’s one-year taught master’s, tuition and return travel, decided after an interview at the embassy in your country. It needs post-degree work experience and an unconditional UK offer.
- DAAD — Germany. The EPOS and Helmut-Schmidt country lists include all nine countries we work with, so eligibility turns on the age of your first degree and your work experience. No interview.
- Stipendium Hungaricum — Hungary, bachelor to doctoral, full tuition and a stipend. Every application is nominated by your national sending partner, usually the education ministry; Zambia and Zimbabwe were not on that partner list in September 2026.
- Erasmus Mundus — EU-wide joint master’s degrees, open worldwide with no nationality rule, applied for through each consortium, not one portal.

How much does scholarship application help cost?
Scholarship shortlisting is free, funded by university commission. The add-on is a separate optional fee for hands-on work on one award, quoted in writing in euros before anything starts. There are no registration fees and no charge for the first conversation. If your profile is not competitive this cycle, we say so rather than take the fee. Our honest stance — we strengthen, we don’t guarantee
No agency can guarantee a scholarship award, and any agent who says otherwise is selling an outcome they do not control. The decision sits with the funder. Most of these schemes do not publish how many awards they make: Stipendium Hungaricum’s places are set by bilateral quota, and Erasmus Mundus caps how much of a project’s funding goes to one nationality.
What we stand behind is the file: answers that carry your evidence, documents that match the checklist, a timeline that holds, interview practice before the real one. - You face an interview: Chevening, Türkiye Scholarships and Stipendium Hungaricum all interview shortlisted candidates.
- You are applying while working, and the scheme’s window falls in a period you cannot clear.
- Your documents come from several institutions and need translating, certifying and checking before submission.

Start early. Chevening’s 2027/28 round closes in early October 2026, and a file assembled in the last fortnight reads like one.
What a strong scholarship file actually contains
Funded schemes are not won on grades alone. Panels read applications that all clear the academic bar, so the file has to do more than qualify.
A specific plan. Not “engineering in Europe” but the programme, why that one, and what it lets you do that your current qualification does not. Panels can tell a candidate who read the programme page from one who read a list of scholarships.
Evidence behind every claim. Leadership, research and work experience count where a reference, a transcript or a document supports them. An unevidenced claim is worse than a modest one, because it invites doubt about the rest of the file.
A return plan that holds together. Most development-funded schemes weigh what you will do at home afterwards, and several carry an obligation to go back. A plan naming a sector, a problem and a plausible first role reads better than a promise to contribute.
Consistency across the whole application. The study plan, the references and the transcripts have to describe the same person on the same trajectory.
And a realistic count of attempts. Most funded schemes recur annually, so a first application that misses is a draft for the next round rather than a wasted year — provided you keep it, and learn what the panel was actually asking for.

- DAAD’s country lists cover all nine countries we work with, so eligibility turns on your degree result and work experience.
- Erasmus Mundus sets no nationality rule, and African applicants are a targeted region for extra EU-funded scholarships.
The honest downsides
- Most schemes do not publish how many awards they give, so you cannot calculate your odds in advance.
- Each award runs one round a year. Miss the window and the next chance is the following cycle.
- Some walls cannot be coached around. Stipendium Hungaricum needs a sending-partner nomination, and Zambia and Zimbabwe were not on that list in September 2026. Chevening excludes British and dual British citizens and requires an unconditional UK offer by July 2027.
- The fee buys the work, not the result: if the award goes elsewhere, you have still paid.
- Funding is thinnest at bachelor level. Most of these schemes fund master’s study, so a school leaver is often better served by low public tuition: Italy runs €200–4,200 per year.

Chevening's round for 2027/28 opened in August 2026 and closes in early October 2026, with interviews between March and April 2027. Türkiye Scholarships runs a fixed January to February window. Stipendium Hungaricum publishes its call in November and closes in mid-January; its 2027/28 stipend amounts are not yet published. Start months before your closing date, not weeks.
