Study Abroad Consultants in Egypt for European Universities

We are study-abroad consultants for Egyptian students, and the core service is free to you because universities pay us a commission when you enrol. Shortlisting, applications, scholarship matching and visa guidance cost you nothing; only Premium Placement is paid, and its price is published. Public bachelor tuition in Germany is free. The catch: no consultant decides visas, and UK refusals from Egypt ran 3.3% (2026).

What a study-abroad consultant in Egypt should do for you

The work has four parts, and only one of them is a phone call.

Matching comes first. Your school certificate is the Thanaweya Amma (being replaced by the Egyptian Baccalaureate, phased in from 2025/26), and a consultant who cannot read that against a European entry rule cannot shortlist for you. Egypt runs 12 years of schooling, which is why several German and British bachelor routes ask for a foundation year first.

Then deadlines, which are fixed and earlier than most families expect. German universities work to 15 July (winter) / 15 January (summer), and France closes its 2027/28 bachelor window on DAP procedure (Licence 1 / PASS-L.AS / Architecture) for 2027/28 entry: platform opens 1 October 2026, closes 15 December 2026, 18:00 (metropolitan France time).

Third, the document file. Egyptian papers need a legalisation chain rather than an apostille, and that chain has to be finished before the embassy appointment, not after it.

Fourth, the visa file itself: funds shown the way that particular consulate wants them, and an honest read of the odds.

A bad agent skips all four and sells you a shortlist of the universities that pay it most. You can see it from outside: no fee in writing, no document check, and a promise about the visa.

How World Study works with Egyptian students

Universities pay us a commission when a student we introduced enrols. That is the entire funding model for the core service, and it is why the core service costs you nothing.

Free, with no fee of any kind:

  • a shortlist built from your marks, your budget and your field
  • application preparation and submission
  • scholarship matching against awards Egyptians can actually win
  • document vetting before anything is submitted
  • visa guidance: the document list, the funds rule, the realistic timeline

Paid and optional: Premium Placement, where we run the visa file itself — the appointment, the funds evidence, the legalisation sequence, interview preparation. The price is published on our pricing page. You see it before you commit, you can decline it, and everything above still applies.

We take no registration fee, no consultation fee and no processing fee from students. If anyone asks you for one in our name, that is not our service.

Two limits, stated now rather than later. We introduce you only to institutions that fit the shortlist criteria we agreed with you; what a university pays does not move it up that list. And we do not act on a file we have not read — if your documents are not ready, we tell you before you pay an embassy anything. The full process is set out in how we work.

Where Egyptian students go — and what it costs

Seven routes cover most of what Egyptian students apply for. One cost figure each, the teaching language, and where the application is lodged in Egypt.

  • Germany. Public tuition is free; you pay a semester fee of €100–400 per semester. Taught in German and English. Visa at TLScontact — 4 centres (New Cairo, El Sheikh Zayed, Alexandria, Hurghada), fee €75.
  • Hungary. Public bachelor tuition €3,000–8,000 per year, with most international programmes taught in English. Filed through VFS Cairo on the study residence permit route.
  • Poland. Public bachelor tuition €2,000–6,500 per year, English-taught programmes widely available. Filed directly at the Polish Embassy in Cairo, fee US$235, cash only.
  • Italy. Public tuition €200–4,200 per year on a country-tiered scale, taught in Italian and English. Universitaly pre-enrolment first, then VFS Cairo or Alexandria, fee €0–50.
  • France. Public tuition €178–2,902 per year, mostly taught in French. You clear Campus France Egypt’s Études en France step before the TLScontact appointment; visa fee €99.
  • Türkiye. Public bachelor tuition US$1,600–2,400 per year, most degrees taught in Turkish. Consular fee US$60, collected in cash.
  • The UK. Public bachelor tuition £11,400–38,000 per year, English-taught, visa fee £558 through VFS Global Cairo. No TB test is required from Egypt.

On tuition alone, Germany, Italy and Poland are the cheapest honest routes out of Egypt; Hungary and Poland are the easiest English-taught ones. Living costs and visa rules change that ranking, and the full comparison for your case is on the Egypt country page and in Germany from Egypt.

Documents from Egypt: the checklist we vet

Egypt is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention, so your papers are legalised instead. The issuing university or the Ministry of Higher Education certifies the academic document, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs ratification office authenticates it, and the destination embassy in Cairo legalises it last. Three counters, each with a queue, so we start the chain before the offer lands.

What we check, in this order:

  • The school certificate, read against each destination’s entry rule rather than the tansik cut-offs.
  • Transcripts and the degree classification in the Egyptian bands: Excellent / Very Good / Good / Pass (bands vary slightly by faculty: Arts/Law 90-100/80-89.99/65-79.99/50-64.99; Engineering 85-100/80-84.99/70-79.99/55-64.99).
  • English proof. English is not official here and medium-of-instruction letters are rarely accepted. Floors run from 5.5 to 6.5.
  • Bank documents. Germany wants a blocked account of €11,904 per year, Italy €10,179.85 per year. Poland is the exception to plan around: Polish Embassy Cairo — direct only, embassy states it does not work with any commercial visa agency; USD cash; rejects Egyptian/Sudanese/Eritrean bank statements; funds ≥75 PLN/day (+2,500 PLN if no return flight booked).
  • Passport, valid well past your course end date.

A file missing one legalisation stamp is not slow, it is refused. What each destination expects is in our proof of funds guide.

Scholarships open to Egyptian students

Egyptian nationals are eligible for more of the major schemes than most origins we work with. Open to Egypt: Stipendium Hungaricum, Chevening, DAAD, Erasmus Mundus, Türkiye Bursları, Eiffel, the Italian Government scheme, OeAD and MAEC-AECID.

Closed to Egypt: Commonwealth and Banach-NAWA. Applying anyway wastes a cycle.

At home, the Bi’that government missions fund study abroad through the Ministry of Higher Education’s Central Administration for Missions. They carry a return bond, and the bond amount and terms are not published.

Most undergraduates will not win a full scholarship, so build the plan around a sponsor and treat an award as upside. We shortlist what you are eligible for and work on the applications with you: see scholarships for Egyptian students.

How to spot a fake agent in Egypt

Two patterns recur here. The first is paid nomination for Stipendium Hungaricum. The scheme’s own fraud warning states that genuine admission is free and any paid guarantee is false, so anyone selling a nomination is selling nothing. The second is unlicensed agents placing students into medicine in Poland and Cyprus; we carry that over from earlier research and have not re-verified it this run, so treat it as a caution, not a finding.

Three checks that work on anyone, us included:

  • Ask for the full fee in writing before you pay. A consultant paid by commission has no reason to refuse.
  • Ask what happens to your documents. Anyone offering to arrange a bank statement or a sponsorship letter is offering you a multi-year ban.
  • Ask about the apostille. Egypt does not use one, and an agent who tells you to get your certificate apostilled has not read your file.

Nobody can promise a visa, and refusal rates at the Cairo consulates are not near zero. The longer checklist is in how to spot a fake agent.

What we don't do

  • We do not guarantee admission, a visa, or a decision by a date. Universities and embassies decide, and we have no influence over either.
  • We do not forge, arrange or coach you through false financial, sponsorship or employment documents, at any price.
  • We do not charge students for the core service: no registration fee, no consultation fee, no file-opening fee.
  • We do not rank a university by what it pays us, and we will tell you when a cheaper institution is the better fit.
  • We are the wrong fit if you want a guaranteed place, a destination outside our twelve, or someone who will submit a file we have not been allowed to check.

Your core guidance is free, funded by university commission: we shortlist programmes against your marks and budget, prepare and submit the applications, match you to scholarships you are eligible for, and vet every document before it goes anywhere near an embassy counter. Premium Placement is the one paid option, priced openly, for students who want us to run the visa file itself. Start with a conversation rather than a payment.

Frequently asked questions

Our core service is free to you. Universities pay us a commission when you enrol, which funds shortlisting, applications, scholarship matching, document vetting and visa guidance. The only paid option is Premium Placement, where we run the visa file, and its price is published before you commit. Any agent charging a registration fee on top of taking commission should be asked to put both in writing.

Universities pay a commission on enrolment. That is the whole model for the core service. The shortlist is built from criteria we agree with you first, and commission rates do not reorder it. You can ask us at any point what we earn from a given institution, and if a cheaper university fits you better we will say so.

No. Embassies decide, and no consultant, in Egypt or anywhere, can change that. What we can change is the quality of the file: correct legalisation, funds evidence in the form that consulate accepts, and a realistic timeline. UK refusals for Egyptian applicants ran 3.3% (2026), while several Schengen posts in Cairo refuse far more often.

No, and this is the most common mistake we see. Egypt is not a Hague Apostille party. Your documents go through legalisation instead: the issuing institution or the Ministry of Higher Education certifies them, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs ratification office authenticates them, and the destination embassy in Cairo legalises them last. An agent who says apostille has not read your file.

All twelve we cover. In practice most Egyptian applications go to Germany, where public tuition is free, Hungary, Poland, Italy, France, Türkiye and the UK. The choice depends on your teaching language, your budget and your field, not on which country is easiest to be admitted to.

Stipendium Hungaricum, Chevening, DAAD, Erasmus Mundus, Türkiye Bursları, Eiffel, the Italian Government scheme, OeAD and MAEC-AECID are all open to Egyptian nationals. Commonwealth and Banach-NAWA are not. The Bi'that government missions fund postgraduate study abroad but carry a return bond whose terms are not published.

Plan on a year. Applications for the 2027/28 intake open through autumn 2026, German deadlines fall on 15 July (winter) / 15 January (summer), and legalisation takes weeks before an embassy appointment is even booked. German visa decisions then take 4 to 12 weeks, and several other posts take longer.

We tell you before you spend money, not after. If your marks or funds fall short, we say which destinations remain realistic and what would have to change. If a visa is refused, we read the refusal grounds with you and decide whether reapplying is worth it or whether a different destination and intake is the better use of the next year.
